SANTA POLA CELEBRATES ITS FESTIVITIES IN HONOUR OF THE VIRGIN OF LORETO

The festival of Moros and Cristianos in Santa Pola has just ended and the festivities in honour of the town's patron saint have begun.

Preparations are underway for the evening's multicoloured parade, to which you are invited at 8.30pm.

This will be followed by a concert in the Palmeral auditorium and a fireworks display.

It is worth coming to see how the Spanish celebrate.

As usual, there will be a parade and as usual a ride on colourful platforms, one of which will include the queen-elect, Loreto Martínez Bonmatí, a 20-year-old international relations student from the University of Alicante, who will be accompanied by a large court.
