Celebration of Independence Day in Guardamar
In Guardamar del Segura on Sunday at 2:00 p.m., the association of Poles - Hispola, organized a picnic on the occasion of our national independence day.
The project was financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland as part of the competition "Polonia and Poles abroad 2024 - events and initiatives of the Polish diaspora".
The local Polish community as well as Poles who are temporarily in Spain gathered to celebrate our holiday together.
There were over 200 of us.
Whole families came, everyone brought refreshments, Polish snacks and cakes reigned supreme,
A lot of people came dressed in national colors, there were also white and red rosettes.
The meeting was accompanied by a music band, we sang our national songs together - at the beginning,
and then the most famous Polish hits.
The meeting was met with great interest from the residents of Guardamr, many people approached and asked what the occasion was for the fiesta 🙂
Hispola organizes such meetings every year, and this year, as well as in previous years, it was met with great interest.
It started with a joint singing of the national anthem and then it was a typical Polish Feast.
