ROCK AGAINST CANCER 2024
On September 13 and 14, Torrevieja will be filled with rock music at the “Antonio Soria” park in Torrevieja from 6pm to 2am.
Two days of authentic rock with tributes to legendary bands. The festival is organized by Monroe's Rock Café and the Rock Against Cancer association.
It's all part of the charity festival against cancer to benefit AFECÁNCER and Alicante for Cancer.
This is the seventh edition of the Rock Against Cancer festival.
Who will perform on stage?
ROXXXET
A group that will pay tribute to Sweden's most popular duo, founded in 1986, playing pop and rock music. It consisted of guitarist Per Gessle and vocalist Marie Fredriksson. This is going to be a real feast for fans of the band.
QUO INCIDENCE
Founded in 1999, the band Quo-incidence is an exceptional remembrance of rock legends Status Quo. The band members have played many festivals, theaters, social clubs, etc., at venues such as the Eastbourne Bandstand, the Fleece in Bristol, and most recently played for 3,000 people, supporting Queen's “We Will Rock You” at Liverpool's MS Bank Arena.
AUDIOSLAVE
Formed by members of Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden, with six years and three studio albums to their credit, they have left an indelible musical legacy on the modern rock scene.
METALLICA (ORCHARD EUROPE TRIBUTE)
Active since 2004, the band continues to perform on major stages in Europe, bringing the music of the four horsemen to life with powerful tributes and a solid sound and look.
RAGE RISING (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE TRIBUTE BAND)
Gathered in 2020 in Tarragona, this is a faithful tribute to the California band Rage Against the Machine, considered one of the most influential California groups of the 1990s, with timeless anthems such as “Killing in the name” Rage Rising is a show full of power and adrenaline, an explosive live performance in which they review the American band's discography, managing to convey the sound and message of the original band.
KEENG - A TRIBUTE TO QUEEN
The band was born out of the love they felt (and still feel) for the music of the famous British band Queen. Five experienced and established musicians of the Alicante scene combined their passion for Freddie and his friends and began to give it a go. In every performance, at every concert, in every pub.... they give it their all, staying true to the spirit of Queen.
UPRISING MUSE - A TRIBUTE TO MUSE
In 2015, two musicians from Albacete, Jesús Manuel Castillo and Rafael Agudo, decided to set their sights on an ambitious and very risky musical project: covering the best songs of the British trio Muse, considered one of the most influential rock bands of the millennium, whose sounds go far beyond the commonplace. Three years later, with the consolidation of the work, “Uprising” is now a reality, touring in venues across the country, succeeding in international Muse fan competitions and relentlessly improving the staging to take its audiovisual show to every corner of Spain.
